Submitting a booking requests a vehicle drop-off time. Your appointment is not confirmed until Grid Motors explicitly approves it. Please wait for approval before arriving. An automated acknowledgement is not approval.
A confirmed drop-off time does not guarantee that assessment or repairs will begin immediately, that you can wait on site, or that your vehicle will be ready the same day. Service depends on assessment, technician availability, required approvals, parts and the condition of the vehicle. Please arrange alternative transportation unless a waiting appointment has been agreed.
Provide accurate contact information, vehicle year, make, model and details of the requested service. VIN is optional when booking but may be requested at intake to identify the correct vehicle or parts. Disclose relevant warning lights, intermittent faults, recent repairs, modifications, previous programming, accident or water damage, and known safety concerns.
You must own the vehicle or have authority from its owner to request service and approve charges. A booking does not authorize repairs. Fleet, insurance or third-party payment arrangements must be agreed separately.
Grid Motors will offer a written estimate before chargeable repair work. If you decline an estimate, a maximum authorized amount must be agreed and recorded before work begins.
Only specifically authorized work will be performed. Authorization may be recorded in a work order, email, text message or documented telephone conversation, subject to applicable requirements. Selecting a service, checking a booking checkbox, leaving keys or submitting this form is not unlimited authorization to diagnose, dismantle, repair, order parts or incur fees.
Applicable legal limits on estimates and authorized maximums apply. Where an estimate is provided, charges for the estimated work will not exceed it by more than 10%. New work or a revised scope and price will be explained and separately authorized before proceeding.
Diagnostics and inspections may be chargeable services even if you decline subsequent repairs or no fault can be reproduced. The scope and fee or maximum charge must be disclosed and authorized first.
Any estimate fee will be disclosed before the estimate is prepared and handled in accordance with applicable law, including restrictions on charging it when the estimated repairs are authorized and carried out.
A diagnostic result reflects conditions observed during testing. An intermittent problem may need further testing. Further diagnostic time, dismantling, specialist testing or reassembly charges require disclosure and authorization. A scan code identifies a detected condition and does not necessarily identify the failed part.
Assessment or dismantling may reveal hidden damage, corrosion, seized fasteners, broken connectors, previous improper repairs or additional faults. Grid Motors will explain material findings and seek approval for additional work and charges.
If approval cannot be obtained, work may pause. We will explain any effect on completion timing and whether the vehicle can be safely reassembled or collected. Additional work will not be treated as approved solely because it appears necessary.
The estimate or work order will identify the parts and services being supplied, including whether parts are new, used, reconditioned, original-equipment or aftermarket where applicable. Material substitutions require approval.
Any special-order deposit, return restriction, core charge, outside service or shipping charge must be disclosed and agreed before the commitment is made. Refunds and deductions depend on applicable law and the specific terms agreed; a blanket “all deposits non-refundable” rule does not apply through these booking terms.
Ask before repairs begin if you want replaced parts returned. Grid Motors will comply with applicable return-of-parts requirements and explain any lawful exception, such as a required warranty or core return.
Acceptance of customer-supplied parts is subject to inspection and prior agreement. Grid Motors may decline unsafe, unsuitable or incompatible parts.
If accepted, the work order will describe the installation scope, any known limitations and applicable warranty coverage. Grid Motors does not automatically provide a manufacturer’s warranty on parts it did not sell. This does not exclude responsibility for its own workmanship or any mandatory legal warranty or remedy. Additional labour caused by an unsuitable or defective supplied part requires authorization.
Electronic diagnostics, module repairs and programming depend on the correct hardware, software, vehicle condition and supporting systems. Previous modifications or incompatible modules can affect results.
Before chargeable work, Grid Motors will explain the proposed procedure, relevant known risks, required credentials or lawful ownership verification, and authorized costs. Programming, data resets, calibration changes or procedures that may alter stored settings require specific authorization. A booking alone does not authorize such changes.
No service guarantees resolution of unrelated faults, compatibility with every aftermarket component, or a particular performance result. Applicable workmanship obligations and customer rights remain in force.
Necessary vehicle movement, road testing, calibration, battery support and other testing will be described and authorized through the intake or work-order process. Tell us about any driving restrictions, security system, tracking device or special operating procedure.
Remove valuables and unnecessary personal belongings before drop-off. Grid Motors will use reasonable care with vehicles, keys and property in its custody. These terms do not waive responsibility for negligence, breach of contract or other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Tell Grid Motors if the vehicle may be unsafe to drive. Arrange appropriate towing when necessary.
Grid Motors may decline unsafe or unlawful work. If you decline a safety-related recommendation, we may document the condition and advise against driving. Approval of one repair does not constitute a complete safety inspection or certification unless that service is separately agreed.
Completion times are estimates unless an express commitment is agreed. Parts availability, vehicle condition, required approvals and additional findings may affect timing. Grid Motors will communicate material delays when known.
Contact us as soon as possible to cancel or reschedule. No cancellation or no-show fee is established by these terms. Any future fee must be separately disclosed and agreed before it applies. If work has already begun, you remain responsible only for lawful, authorized charges and any separately agreed commitments.
An itemized invoice will be provided. Accepted payment methods, deposits and payment timing will be stated in the estimate or work order. Applicable taxes and authorized charges will be identified. Arrangements for credit or third-party payment require prior agreement.
Please collect the vehicle after notification that it is ready. These booking terms do not establish a storage fee. Any storage rate, start date, notice, authorization and other requirements must be separately addressed in compliance with applicable law.
Any retention, lien or disposal of a vehicle must follow applicable law and required notices and procedures. A missed collection date does not automatically transfer ownership to Grid Motors or authorize disposal.
Grid Motors will honour applicable statutory repair warranties. Where Ontario’s mandatory warranty applies, new or reconditioned parts and the labour to install them are generally covered for at least 90 days or 5,000 kilometres, whichever occurs first, subject to lawful exceptions. Any additional coverage will be stated on the invoice.
Coverage depends on the repair and the cause of the concern. An unrelated failure, ordinary wear or misuse is not automatically a defect in the completed repair. No exclusion in these terms removes a mandatory warranty or legal remedy.
Contact Grid Motors promptly with the symptoms, invoice details and current mileage if a concern arises. Stop driving and arrange safe assistance if necessary. Give us a reasonable opportunity to assess the concern where practical. This does not restrict any legal right to emergency repairs elsewhere, towing reimbursement or other remedies.
Grid Motors uses booking contact details, vehicle information and service descriptions to assess requests, arrange appointments, communicate about authorized work and maintain service records.
Please do not put payment-card details, passwords, identification documents or unrelated sensitive information in the booking form.
Marketing consent is separate from service communications. Customer information, identifiable vehicle photos and repair footage will not be published for advertising or social media without separate permission. Privacy enquiries and requests to access or correct information may be directed to Grid Motors through its published business contact channels.
These terms supplement the specific estimate, work order and invoice. They do not remove rights or remedies under applicable consumer protection, privacy or other law, or authorize charges prohibited by law.
Changes apply prospectively. Grid Motors will obtain further agreement where a material change affects an existing arrangement.
I have read and agree to Grid Motors’ Booking and Automotive Repair Terms above. I understand this is a drop-off request that requires team approval, and that diagnostic fees and repairs require separate authorization.
